Physician Referral and Information
Patients can obtain listings for allergists/immunologists in their area by visiting the Find an Allergist/Immunologist section of the AAAAI Web site at www.aaaai.org/physref. Patients may also request free brochures from the AAAAI's public education collection by completing the online information request form at www.aaaai.org/patients/resources/inforequest.stm.Allergy & Asthma Issues
Allergy & Asthma Issues is a patient newsletter that provides pertinent information on asthma, allergy and related topics on a quarterly basis. Articles published in Allergy & Asthma Issues are contributed by physician and allied health members of the AAAAI's Public Education Committee, as well as other volunteer AAAAI member writers. Recent topics include articles on oral allergy syndrome, new asthma therapies, milk allergy and lactose intolerance, oral steroids and osteoporosis, flu shots and other vaccines, and smoking cessation.National Allergy Bureau
The National Allergy Bureau (NAB) is the only non-profit pollen and mold counting network certified by the AAAAI. To help seasonal allergy sufferers better manage their symptoms, the NAB issues a "Pollen & Mold Report" three times a week. In addition to allergen counts, the NAB Web site features information on tree, grass, weed and mold allergen, and users are able to chart the pollen history of their area for up to one year. The Web site also provides answers to frequently asked questions about allergies, pollen and mold, a seasonal allergy feature and a photo gallery featuring depictions of common allergens.Tips to Remember
The Tips to Remember brochures cover various topics in asthma, allergy and immunology and are available in both Spanish and English. They are an educational supplement to allergy and asthma care and are not intended to replace actual consultation with an immunologist.
